2007 Project Thoughts & Notes...

15 june 2007 | Client: Riingo
Site Redesign: Incorporating: HTML/CSS, Flash actionscript/optimization, Graphic Design

Riingo is a Japanese-fusion restaurant here in New York City. Their existing website was built in Flash, and through a re-design, I morphed the site to be more refined in navigation, updated the site structure/organization (pulling XML for all menus/content), and overall refined the site "feel".

20 april 2007 | Client: Phoenix Roze
New Web Presence: Incorporating: HTML/CSS, Design, Coding

Guy Rozenstrich creates custom jewelry: original and unique pieces of art. He needed a web presence that displayed pieces that were for sale, and reflected his preference for minimalistic desgn.

This was a fun project because my personal style preference is minimalism, and I was able to be as creative as I prefered - it simply displays scrolling product snippets, and will expand the product when clicked.

A coding piece that was custom (for this site in particular) was to save registration entries within the website itself; again something simple, but quite effective.

4 april 2007 | Client: Spaceman Media
Site Redesign: Incorporating: HTML/CSS, Flash video/optimization, Graphic Design

Formerly Josh Koppel Productions, Spaceman Media wanted an updated website to reflect its merger of talent. The website's purpose is to showcase its video production pieces as a portfolio of sorts (with big-name clients such as Sony, Wal-Mart, Oxygen, Comendy Central, AMC, Discovery Channel, etc). A fun piece to add to this website was an expandable/contractable menu, which was written completely in CSS (and with no cross-browser issues).

The challenge with this website was to make a video portfolio that loaded instantly, but that which didn't sacrifice quality. The most important piece for display was an introduction reel - so that piece needed to stay in Quicktime format, while the other videos were converted to Flash Video, and after many tweaks in the video presentations, its all set.

2 january 2007 | Client: New Media Institute
New Web Presence: Incorporating: HTML/CSS, CMS build-out, Credit Card Processing, Design

The New Media Institute is an organization that focuses on research and data on Internet-based media groups. They had no web presence, so I integrated a CMS for content updates and management, and gave their website a clean layout; I prefer minimalist design and layouts.
